Will my banking app work?
Most do. GrapheneOS runs sandboxed Google Play, so apps like Revolut, Monzo, Wise and most high street banks work normally. A small number of strict banks block it. Email us your bank before you order and we will tell you the truth.
Can I use WhatsApp?
Yes, but we suggest Signal. WhatsApp encrypts your messages, then tells its owner who you talk to and when. Signal does not.
What about maps and taxis?
Yes. Maps, Uber and food apps all run. You choose which ones may see your location, and when.
Is it hard to learn?
No. It looks like a normal Android phone. Most people forget it is different by day two.
How is the battery?
Usually better. Nothing is running in the background reporting on you.
The SIM
What is a Russian PGP encrypted SIM?
